Theme for 2022

The theme for 2022, Conference #8, will be taking stock:
  • of where we are as a movement after the Covis-19 pandemic,
  • what our strengths and weaknesses are,
  • and what we should aim at achieving in the next two years.
One of the sessions will give advice on how to run a shortened 2-day weekend now that they have been approved.

What is it?

The biennial Cursillo UK Conference was started in 2006 by the then President Jenny Lowry (now Jenny Moorby) and was originally entitled ‘Catch the Vision’.

The aim was the get the leadership of the Anglican Cursillo movement together over a weekend to:
"relax, enjoy Christian fellowship, and be part of the plans for the future of Cursillo. We propose inviting every Lay Director, together with the Standing Committee members, to share a weekend to pray together, worship together and seek God’s vision for Cursillo in the years to come."
(Extract from Jenny’s original invitation to Diocesan Lay Directors)
The aim is still to foster discussion of current issues, share best practice and plan for the future.

Who is it aimed at?

The conferences are principally aimed at:
  • Lay Directors
  • diocesan Spiritual Directors
  • BACC Reps
well as members of the Standing Committee and the BAC Servant Community.

Where/when space allows other Cursillistas are also welcome to attend.
